Got Milk? Yes, I do! (Milk Industries review)

Well, perhaps I don’t. But Milk Industries does. If you haven’t been introduced to this awesome clothing line – it’s about time you do. Their fresh and fun-taste-ic designs are looking great and are ready to consume!

Milk Industries come from Italy and the brand was conceived after liters and liters of coffee. Add a little (designer) milk in it – and there you have a lovely Italian caffè macchiato you just cannot resist. It even tastes better if consumed with some donuts, wursts or candies. All this incorporated makes Milk Industries one of the nicest lines I’ve came across lately.

Brand concept and designs

As already mentioned – Milk Industries designs are based on stuff most of us consume everyday, making it look more appealing and irresistible with the mighty force of their well-trained designer hand. They wanted to create something to wear on everyday basis, without looking monotone. That’s why they choose lovable colors when designing  almost cartoon-ish characters out of foods and drinks.

Web presence

Having their website there on Wix platform, along with Spreadshirt shop and Facebook profile, I’d say Milk Industries’ web presence is okay. However, they should invest into their own website to make it more serious. They’ve also started to use Twitter recently – which is a great thing for promotion of their awesome tees – so make sure you follow them today!

Printing method

All Milk Industries are printed using a Spreadshirt method. In case you don’t know how this works – Spreadshirt is a T-shirt designer platform which allows you to create your own designs and customize your own shirts. After you submit your design it gets printed and sent to you. After you payed for it, of course… Spreadshirt also allows you to create your online shop where other people can buy your designs and Spreadshirt takes it’s percentage of sales. This is especially handy for smaller quantities of shirts and for lines that are just starting because you don’t have to invest a lot of money into shirts and printing. Although I think it’s nice system I’d love to see Milk Industries printing their stuff on their own one day.

Offering and pricing

Apart from your regular men and women styled T-shirts, Milk Industries offer hoodies, too, making sure you’re warm when drinking your daily glass of milk. All of their designs are printed onto American Apparel items, which guarantees you great quality. Prices are okay, too, perhaps a bit higher than average, but still affordable. Shirts range from around €20.00 – €26.oo, while hooded sweatshirts are offered for around €40.00. By the way – 1 Euro is like 1.4 dollars at the moment, so do some maths.

Coat Of Arms – bear it with Nokturnal new hoodie!

If you follow what we publish here at Teezine then you might remember UK’s indie label Nokturnal Clothing from our previous posts (they won the bronze medal in Teezine 2010 T-shirt Olympics in Best Online Shop category). Folks at Nokturnal just informed us they’ve released a new amazing hoodie – their first ever – so we thought we might take a look at it.

First thing we liked is that this piece of cloth comes in both dark heather grey and black colors. As you can see, there is a big print on back and Nokturnal old-school looking logo on front (left breast). The design itself – called “Nokturnal Coat Of Arms” – looks really awesome, featuring a crest with many interesting details, such as daggers, crowns and weird looking animal creatures. The title above says “we are all nokturnal”. It would only look better without Nokturnal logo above it, in our humble opinion. Oh, and a big plus is that this is a zip-up hooded sweatshirt you’d be proud to wear everywhere you go.

This design is printed onto American Apparel flex fleece hoodies – and if you ever bought any American Apparel item then you must know it’s of finest quality. Cute funky T-shirt designs – Aaitski!

How to create T-shirt designs which are both looking good and are easy to sell?  T-shirt market is flooded with tons of different designs, targeting specific customers, but not many lines find “the secret formula”. Luckily, seems like Belgian indie label Aaitski! found theirs.

Aaitski! was founded when two creative minds by the names of Kingseys and The Knight Writer transformed their animals and children based ideas into cute and funky iconic designs. Add a bit odd name – and there you have a cool clothing brand! Upon it’s conception Aaitski! was very well received by rockers, rollers, all those feeling happy or blue and especially their offspring. Today it’s the ever-growing family of tees, hooded sweaters and kids clothes, spreading their cutees across the world, operating from Belgium, Europe.

Brand concept & designs

As already mentioned – Aaitski! creates cute lil’ icons based on various animals, different boys’n’girls appearances and a whole set of vehicles, including bulldozers,  submarines and jets (not to forget spaceships, too). All designs have unique, easy-to-recognize designer signature, which sets Aaitski! apart from other players in the game, no matter how good they are. I first saw their icons couple of years ago when I’ve started Teezine and I immediately loved the brand, admiring the fact they can turn  a panda, a robot and a ninja into such simple, yet distinct designs.

Printing method

It would be a pity if such great looking designs weren’t printed the proper way. All Aaitski! designs are manually screen-printed, which is perhaps the most popular method of printing. If done properly, screen printing ensures long durability and resistivity of colors. You can’t tell a lot just from looking at the photos, but I’m sure folks at Aaitski! really pay attention to printing, as much as to designing.

Offering & pricing

Aaitski! offer is one of the most diverse out there, including men and women styled T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and kids style tees. Their website also contains a very detailed info on their items, which explains exact sizes, textures and styles, as well as maintenance methods. Prices are  a bit higher, but still reasonable – they charge €25.00 for regular T-shirts, €50.00 for hoodies, €22.50 for kids tees and €27.50 for kids rompers.

With such a profiled and deliberate approach Aaitski! represents truly unique, one-of-a-kind independent clothing label that offers much, both in quality of their designs and wideness of items in their online shop. Big plus is they produce clothing for your lil’ ones, too. If you order something from Aaitski! no question you’ll be noticed by everyone, whilst wearing something unique, produced the indie way. I’d only like to see more professional model photos of Aaitski! actual items on their website. Oh, and an actual shop would be cool, too 🙂

Less colors, less details, less aggression, but more fun, more relaxation and more recognition. Sophisticated and direct at the same time, More More More items feel extremely light and classy.

Peasoup Clothing is new T-shirt label from UK which was born out of the desire to wear something different. Peasoup produces fresh and interesting limited edition tees with colorful designs, printed on Gildan fitted T-shirts that are built to last.
